Name: Comptoir 102

Description: A combination of café with a small grocery corner, and shop stocking designer jewelery, bags, shoes, clothing, and a variety of décor items and furniture pieces.

Ambience: Casual chic is perhaps the best description for this café with its choice of indoor and outdoor seating. It is a tranquil space that invites one to linger, while the artful displays of products in the shop area evoke an irresistable desire to browse and shop.

Location: Located at 102 Jumeirah Beach Road, Jumeirah 1 in Dubai. (GPS co-ordinates: N25° 13′ 31.5 / E55° 15.15′ 30″)

Opening times: Daily 8am – 10pm

Price and Quality of Food: There is a daily menu to choose from that changes according to the time of the day. On the day I visited for lunch 3 starters, 3 main courses, and 3 desserts were on offer. The focus is on healthy eating, and the menu items were fresh, vegetarian, and beautifully presented. Portion sizes could be considered small by some, but I found them to be perfect, as they allowed enough space for a starter, main course, and dessert, without making me feel overly full. A starter and a main course were AED 95 and a dessert was AED 25. A variety of fresh juices and smoothies are available for about AED 25 – AED 30.
